Bury boss Alan Knill believes it would take a 'good offer' for Andy Bishop to leave Gigg Lane in January.
The striker has averaged a goal every other game since joining the Shakers from York City in the summer of 2006.
He has regularly been linked with clubs higher up the ladder, but Knill is optimistic he will stay with the League Two club.
Knill told the Manchester Evening News: "I've had a couple of people ring me and say 'What's the situation with him?'
"I don't think there's many teams, definitely in our league, that could match the offer we've made him.
"If someone else is going to come and match that deal, I think it'll have to be a good offer for him."
