Accrington have extended the loan of Peterborough defender Kieran Charnock until the end of the season.

Coleman on look-out for further reinforcements

Accrington Stanley have extended the loan of Peterborough United defender Kieran Charnock until the end of the season. Charnock has made 15 appearances for Accrington since joining in October and will now stay until 2nd May. The centre-half is on the transfer list at Peterborough and has 18 months left on his contract, and had previously suggested he was open to a permanent move to Accrington. Meanwhile, Stanley boss John Coleman has outlined his intention to increase the numbers in his squad during the January transfer window. Coleman told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: "We certainly need to make some strong additions because out of our full first-team squad on Saturday we only had 15 people fit, which isn't enough. "We need a striker, possibly two, we need a middle of midfielder and we need a defender, possibly two defenders."
