Dagenham & Redbridge have confirmed the club have been unable to agree a deal to sign Salisbury City midfielder Liam Feeney.
The highly-rated Feeney had been lined up to join Dagenham on loan, with a view to a permanent move in January.
However, the League Two club have revealed the transfer has fallen through after the failure to settle on a fee with Blue Square Premier side Salisbury.
"The club can confirm they were in talks with both Salisbury and Liam Feeney and were very optimistic of the player signing for the Daggers," read a statement on Dagenham's official website.
"Unfortunately, while we were able to agree personal terms with Liam, we were not able to agree terms with Salisbury City."
Meanwhile, the club have extended the loan spell of Portsmouth midfielder Matt Ritchie until the end of December.
Ritchie has scored three goals in 12 league games for the Daggers since arriving at Victoria Road at the end of September.
