Davis, Hughes, Little and Pamarot back in training

Portsmouth have been handed a boost ahead of their meeting with Manchester United following the news that four pre-season injury victims have returned to training. Sean Davis, Richard Hughes, Glen Little and Noe Pamarot are all back in action after recovering from knocks and could feature at Fratton Park on Monday. The quartet will be welcomed back with open arms by Pompey manager Harry Redknapp after he saw his side comprehensively taken apart by Chelsea in their opening game of the season last weekend. First-team coach Joe Jordan is glad to see the players back in training, but could not confirm if they will feature against United.

Early

"There are players back this week who have been injured for a period of time and it's great to see," Jordan told the Portsmouth News. "Richard Hughes, Sean Davis, Noe Pamarot and Glen Little all came back off the treatment table yesterday. "It's a bit early to talk about Manchester United, we're talking about a week to go, a lot of things can happen there. "But the four have joined us having been injured for two or three weeks and we'll see how their training goes, especially in the early part of the week. "We'll see how fit they are and how much of a catch-up they have got to do. Some of them have played very little football due to their injuries in pre-season."
