Darlington boss Dave Penney has signed former Stockport midfielders David Poole and Adam Griffin.
Poole, a product of the Manchester United academy, moved to Edgeley Park in 2006 but was released at the end of last season.
Griffin was also let go after County's play-off triumph in May to end a two-year association with the club.
Penney believes the two players, both 23, could still make an impact in League Two and has swooped to bring them in.
