Brazilian completes Chairboys switch

Wycombe have completed their fifth signing of the summer with the capture of Magno Silva Vieira. The Brazilian forward has agreed a one-year deal at Adams Park, but could see that agreement extended depending on appearances. The 23-year-old was recommended to Wigan in 2003 by his legendary countryman Jairzinho but failed to make a single appearance for the Latics. He spent last season on the books of Blue Square Premier side Crawley Town, but finished the campaign on loan at Cambridge.

Hungry

Despite struggling to adapt to English football Wycombe boss Peter Taylor is convinced that Vieira has the potential to be a success with the Chairboys. "He comes to us as a winger and a striker really, he's an all-out attacking player," Taylor told the club's official website. "Even though he has played as a different level, I think he's used to scoring goals and he's hungry. "He wants to do well and because of that I believe he will."
