Welshman signs Peterborough extension

Peterborough United have handed a new three-year contract to Craig Morgan. The Welsh international has agreed to the two-year extension at London Road and his boss Darren Ferguson was delighted. "The new contract is fully deserved, he has been spot on since I arrived at the club. His performances have been at a very high standard. I knew him from my Wrexham days, but he has improved, his concentration has got better and I am delighted he has agreed to extend his deal," said Ferguson. "I identified players that I want to sort contracts out for and he was one of them. We have done it quite quickly and it follows on from Jamie Day signing a new deal. I want to keep our good young players here and keep them tied to the club. "Craig is a full international with Wales and it is a big boost for the club that he has signed. I am very pleased with how everything has been sorted out and I would like to thank the chairman for his backing once again."
