Milton Keynes Dons boss Paul Ince has returned to former club Macclesfield Town to sign Carl Regan.
The defender has accepted an 18-month contract at stadium:mk after the League Two leaders paid an undisclosed fee.
Regan joined Macclesfield in 2006 from Chester City and is looking forward to working with Ince again.
"I'm absolutely made up to be here, I've been following MK Dons all season with Paul Ince being my old manager and they've been going from strength to strength," Regan told the club's official website.
"I got the phone call at about half-past-seven to get down here and sign, so I got in the car and got here as quick as I could."
