Paul Mullin is to sign a new contract at Accrington Stanley following interest from Shrewsbury Town.
Accrington accepted a £75,000 bid from Shrewsbury prior to the weekend, only for Mullin to turn down a switch to the New Meadow.
The experienced striker is now on the brink of securing a two-year deal to stay with John Coleman's Stanley.
A statement from Accrington said: "The lure of an extended stay at the Fraser Eagle Stadium has proved too much and he is now set to put pen-to-paper on a new two-year contract.
"Mullin has found the net 11 times in league and cup competition this season and remains one of the club's main assets."
