Bolland training at Racecourse Ground

Wrexham boss Brian Little is hoping to sign out-of-favour Chester defender Phil Bolland. The 31-year-old, who has featured only three times this season for City, has been training at the Racecourse Ground this week in a bid to impress Little and earn a move to Wrexham in the January transfer window. Little, who admits he is keen to bolster his squad, says having the players round to train with the club is the best way of assessing their abilities. Speaking to the Chester Chronicle about his latest trialist, Little said: "Phil has been told by Chester that he can train with us and it gives me an opportunity to see how he fits in with potential team-mates both on and off the pitch. "It's something I like to do and I have a number of other players lined up to come and train with us in January. "It's very important they mix in and work well together so that if and when we do sign people we have limited the risk factor as much as possible."
