Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson has admitted he would love to make Jeff Hughes' loan move from Crystal Palace permanent when the transfer window reopens next month. The 22-year-old has yet to start a game for Posh since joining last month but Ferguson is a big fan of the former Lincoln man. He told the club's official website: "I had a meeting with the chairman Darragh MacAnthony this week and we did speak about transfer targets and i would love to get Jeff here permanently. "He has done well for us during the time he has been here and it would be great to have him here. "We are looking at one or two targets but that is all it will be."
