Stanley striker joins League Two rivals on loan

Accrington Stanley striker Lee McEvilly has returned to Rochdale on loan until January. McEvilly only linked up with Accrington in the summer from Wrexham, but has failed to score in 12 appearances. He has now gone back to Spotland until the New Year, with a view to a deal until the end of the League Two season. Rochdale were the Northern Ireland cap's first league club and manager Keith Hill hopes to get McEvilly's career back on track. "I don't know the lad personally, but I do know that he has got an excellent goals to games ratio," Hill told the club's official website. "You could say that he hasn't fulfilled his early potential, but we do feel that we can help re-ignite his passion for the game. "Lee is at something of a cross-roads in his career, but we all know that he has a lot of ability for the position that he plays - he can make us a better team and we can make him a better player."
