Jamie Day has signed a new contract with League Two side Peterborough.

The 21-year-old midfielder has agreed new terms with the club and he is now tied to London Road until 2010.

Day, who can also play at left-back, has impressed manager Darren Ferguson with his versatility.

Ferguson told Peterborough's official website: "I felt that we should reward Jamie for how well he has done and the chairman has backed me again."

Day has made 17 appearances for Posh and could feature in their Tuesday night game with Dagenham and Redbridge.
