Ben Wright has turned down a deal with Barnet in favour of a move to League Two rivals Lincoln City.
The forward, who has been playing in Norway, has been training with Barnet and was offered a contract by Paul Fairclough.
But Wright has rejected The Bees' offer in order to accept a two-year deal with Lincoln, subject to passing a medical and receiving international clearance.
Lincoln boss John Schofield told the club's official website: "Ben is another attack-minded player who will suit our style of play.
"To attract such a player with his experience in Europe is a fantastic achievement for the club and we're really looking forward to working with him."
Meanwhile, Joe Devera has given Barnet a boost by signing a new long-term contract at Underhill.
The promising defender is now tied to the club for the foreseeable future, although the length of the extension has not been disclosed.
