Port Vale have extended Clayton Fortune's loan spell until the end of the season.
The big defender has proved to be an astute signing since arriving at Vale Park from Leyton Orient in November, making eight appearances for the play-off hopefuls.
Fortune only joined Orient in the summer but having failed to make an impression at the League One new boys, he was shipped off to Vale.
Orient boss Martin Ling believes the deal suits all parties, of the opinion that regular first team football will help the player.
"Clayton's first team opportunities for the rest of the season here would have been limited because he has fallen down the pecking order in recent months," he told the club's official website.
"However, he has played well for Port Vale so an extension of his loan suits all parties."
