Leyton Orient boss Martin Ling has said he is ready to let Clayton Fortune leave.
The defender moved to Orient in the summer but did not manage to keep his place in Ling's starting XI and was loaned out to Port Vale last week.
Ling, who was first alerted to Fortune's talents when he was on loan at Port Vale last season, has now told the 24-year-old he can leave the club on a free transfer.
"Clayton can leave on a free transfer. He knows that, and other clubs know that. He has not settled at the club," he said.
"He has not managed to reproduce the performances he managed for Port Vale last year, and he is not the same player."
Forward Lee Steele, meanwhile, is expected to make his loan move to Chester permanent.
Daryl McMahon, currently at Notts County, has also been told he can leave on a free.
