Alexander hails vital win

Fleetwood boss Graham Alexander was amazed by his side's resolve after battling to victory against Wycombe.

The Cod Army played the majority of the match with 10 men following Alan Goodall's 13th-minute red card and eventually took all three points courtesy of Josh Morris' goal just before the hour mark. "It was a vital result. We knew how important it was to get the three points," said Alexander, whose team remain three points behind both second-placed Chesterfield, who Fleetwood play on the final day of the season at the Proact Stadium, and third-placed Rochdale. "Then we went down to 10 men after just little more than 10 minutes. I was disappointed with that but from then on the boys were fantastic. "The discipline, the work rate the boys showed, the good football they played when they got the ball down. "To win 1-0 with 10 men for nearly 80 minutes is a great achievement."
