Moore-Taylor: We can't go down

'We can't go down,' is the message from Exeter defender Jordan Moore-Taylor ahead of a big weekend for their Football League future.

The centre-back, who scored his first goal for the club in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Cheltenham, was just a supporter when the Grecians ended their five-year stay in non-League football back in 2008. Results elsewhere mean City are just two points above the relegation zone ahead of Friday's trip to Chesterfield and Easter Monday's Devon derby with Torquay. "We can't go down," he told the Western Morning News. "It was hard enough to get up last time and there are a lot of big clubs down there finding it hard to get up. We need to stay in the league and everyone knows that and we have to do everything we can to make sure we do. "Every point between now and the end of the season is important, we just need to pick up as many as we can. "We should have enough to stay up, but we have to prove it on the pitch. It is all very well saying it, we need to perform on the pitch and see where it takes us."
