Rotherham assistant manager Paul Raynor has told supporters promotion to League One is the club's main aim for next season.

Raynor told the club's official website: "We are well aware we need to mount a promotion challenge.

"Rotherham United has a new stadium and a new team, the future is really exciting. Our supporters are here for life and I have no doubt they will see some very exciting times in the season ahead."

Raynor was drafted in from League One side Crawley Town, along with manager Steve Evans, and the pair have been busy over the summer break, with nine new signings already.

He hinted that there may be further singings to come, adding: "We're a few players short of being ready to meet the promotion challenge head on."
