Wales Under-21 goalkeeper Chris Maxwell has joined Fleetwood Town on a free transfer to boost their squad for League Two next season.
He was released by Wrexham after they failed to gain promotion, finishing five points behind Town in the Blue Square Bet Premier last season.
Maxwell lost the number one spot at the Racecourse Ground to Joslain Mayebi in September last year.
He will provide competition for current Fleetwood goalkeeper Scott Davies and told the club's official website: "My sole aim is to play football, you're going to have competition wherever you go."
