Grigg compensation agreed

Brentford have been ordered to pay Walsall £325,000 for striker Will Grigg at a Football League tribunal.

The Bees signed the 22-year-old in the summer on a three-year deal, but because he was offered a contract at the Banks's Stadium the London club were forced to pay compensation. An agreement could not be reached by the two clubs, meaning a figure had to be decided by the league's governing body. The Saddlers have also been granted a 20 per cent sell-on clause and further payments based on appearances and Brentford's success in the league.
