Rosler wants top-two finish

Uwe Rosler hailed his Brentford side's achievement in making the play-offs after a 3-2 win over Portmouth, but insisted: "We want more."

The relieved Bees manager had top goalscorer Clayton Donaldson to thank for the late winner that guaranteed his side a top-six finish. But Rosler said: "We will not be happy with that. We will keep the pressure on the top two knowing that our fate is still very much in our own hands." It did not look that way with just 10 minutes remaining with Pompey holding a 2-1 lead, courtesy of goals from David Connolly and Shaun Cooper after Bradley Wright-Phillips' opener for the Bees. But Wright-Phillips equalised in the 85th minute and then his slide-rule through ball 60 seconds later was converted by Donaldson to send Griffin Park in raptures. Rosler said: "That was a tremendous achievement from a side that simply does not know when it is beaten. It took enormous strength and character to win that. "We were not happy with conceding two goals from outside the area, but you have to remember that we were playing a side who had lost only once in nine games and are very solid and tough to break down." Rosler said he would make changes for the make-or-break clash at Sheffield United on Tuesday, adding: "You could see when we injected some energy into the side that it made a very big difference. "We had people who did not feature, but I'm not going to say what our plans are for Tuesday night. Now it all about belief and momentum and we have that with us, as well as supporters who make us hard to beat."
