Wycombe winger Sam Wood says friendship will count for nothing when his side do battle with his former team Brentford on Tuesday.
Wood, 25, joined Wanderers last month after a four-year spell at the Bees, during which they secured promotion to League One.
Wood is now relishing joining horns with some familiar faces and told the club's website: "Sam Saunders is the main person I speak to a lot and I talk to a few others on Twitter every now and then, but it's the football circle.
"When you move on you still stay friends and speak to people, even though you aren't there any more. It's just the way football is and everyone knows everyone.
"I've spoken to a few of them leading up to the game, having a bit of banter, but when it comes to the game you need to focus on that. When you cross that white line there are no friends in football."
