Logan keen for extra year

Brentford defender Shaleum Logan hopes to trigger a one-year contract extension at Griffin Park.

The 24-year-old former Manchester City full-back needs to play in eight more games to activate the clause in his current deal, but he is currently struggling with a groin injury. "It's been difficult because I missed 13 or 14 games through injury, but I want to stay here and play next season," he told the Hounslow Chronicle. "I may miss another week or two through injury, so maybe those games will not come. Then it's up to the manager to decided whether he gives me a contract. "I'm really settled in London and hopeful something will happen. There's nothing better than playing a game on a Saturday after training all week."
