League One play-off hopefuls Brentford will hold further talks with midfielder Sam Saunders this week over his future. Saunders, 28, is in the final year of his contract and has been offered an extension to stay at Griffin Park. Bees sporting director Mark Warburton will speak to the player's agent in the next seven days as the west London club aims to tie him down. Bees boss Uwe Rosler told the Hounslow Chronicle: "We will speak again this week. There's good dialogue and both parties are interested in getting something agreed." Brentford have also offered a new deal to striker Gary Alexander.
