Brentford's Karleigh Osbourne has spoken of his relief at returning to competitive action and wants to earn back his first-team spot.
The central defender has not played since limping off in the loss to Stevenage back in October with a foot injury, but completed 90 minutes as captain for the Bees' reserves on Wednesday against Brighton.
"It was my first proper game and I was glad to get 90 minutes," he told Brentford's official website.
"It's been really frustrating, I desperately wanted to be involved over the past few months.
"The boys have done a good job now I need to try and get my place in the first team.
"There is real competition, I want to fight for my place."
