Bees keen to keep Saunders

Brentford manager Uwe Rosler has confirmed they have made an improved contract offer to Bees top scorer Sam Saunders.

The 28-year-old former Dagenham midfielder has been in fine form this season and has found the net six times, but his current deal at Griffin Park expires at the end of the season. Rosler is hopeful Saunders will agree new terms to extend his stay with the west Londoners. Rosler told the Hounslow Chronicle: "We've made Sam an improved contract offer and are waiting for him to come back to us. "The talks we've had were positive and we've made what we think is a good offer to him."
