Charlie MacDonald feels Brentford have got a gem in their ranks in rookie midfielder Jake Reeves.
The 18-year-old has been handed a first-team squad number by new Bees boss Uwe Rosler and put in some impressive performances in pre-season.
Striker MacDonald said: "Jake, a boy of such a young age, is dominating his opponents in midfield.
"He is getting on the ball, switching the play, playing balls in to the frontman, playing through-balls - he is looking like a seasoned pro.
"He is a very good player, if he carries on the way he is going Brentford will do very well to hang onto him."
