Swindon manager Paolo Di Canio believes he has the correct balance to his playing staff ahead of the new season.
Di Canio sought to quell suggestions that he has overloaded his midfield options following the signing of Alan McCormack.
The Swindon manager told the Swindon Advertiser: "We need four or five midfielders who can rotate because in a long season you can have injuries.
"We need to have physically strong players who will always challenge the opponents and McCormack is that kind of player.
"McCormack can also cover for (Oliver) Risser if he is injured, because otherwise we have only Jonathan Smith who can challenge opponents.
"I need a good mix of players who have different qualities for all situations."
