Crewe duo still mulling future

Crewe boss Dario Gradi still needs out-of-contract duo Clayton Donaldson and Byron Moore to decide about their futures.

Striker Donaldson is unlikely to remain at Gresty Road as speculation, albeit not firm interest, continues to link him with a move to a higher division, while the Alex are also yet to hear from winger Moore as he contemplates his future. The duo will have to make their decisions soon, however, with Crewe set to return to training next Friday. Gradi told the club's official website: "If I am honest I'm not expecting Clayton to return but that has been the case from day one. When Neil (Baker, assistant) spoke to his agent he told him that it was 'unlikely' he would re-sign but we knew that. "With Byron, I hear he is back from holiday now so we may be able to make contact with him. He has been hard to get hold of and Steve (Davis, assistant) is chasing that up. We would like him to stay as well because he is a good player and one we should be getting money for."
