Robins hopeful on Douglas

Swindon are hopeful captain Jonathan Douglas will sign a new deal but expect defender Lescinel Jean-Francois to leave.

Both are out of contract this summer as new boss Paolo Di Canio looks to guide the Robins to promotion from League Two at the first attempt following their relegation last month. Interim chairman Jeremy Wray told BBC Wiltshire: "I'm hopeful Dougie is going to sign. I have been in touch with his agent and we're in discussions. "It think it's fair to say Lecs has had offers from other clubs higher up and it's likely he'll move elsewhere." Midfielder Michael Timlin is also coming to the end of his contract, and Wray added: "Tims has had discussions with at least one other club. I think he's wrestling with the offer we've given him. He's been open and honest with me and I know when he's made his mind up he'll let me know." Meanwhile, Town are still yet to officially confirm the reported signings of midfielder Jonathan Smith and defender Joe Devera, who would become Di Canio's first since taking the reins three-and-a-half weeks ago.
