Midfielder happy with return to London after leaving Shrewsbury

Brentford have snapped up David Hunt after the midfielder was released by Shrewsbury Town. Hunt left Shrewsbury earlier this week after his contract was paid up, having made just four appearances this season. He has now agreed a contract with Brentford for the rest of the campaign and is looking forward to linking up with Andy Scott's side. "I'm really happy to sign for Brentford, particularly so as I was keen to return to where my roots are in London as we have a young daughter of just 16 months," Hunt told the club's official website. "I knew the gaffer from my time at Leyton Orient and had no qualms about signing. "I put myself about a bit, pass the ball and tackle. I believe I can be a real asset to the side and am really looking forward to the opportunity to prove myself."
