Southend United's Alan McCormack has spoken of his determination to achieve promotion next season after penning a new deal at Roots Hall.
The midfielder inked a new three-year contract on Thursday, ending speculation surrounding his future.
And he has now set his sights on gaining promotion to the Championship after the club suffered play-off semi-final heartache last term.
"We enjoyed a great end to last season and if we can carry on that way then I really do think promotion is a possibility next year," said the 24-year-old.
On his deal, McCormack added: "I'm pleased that everything has been sorted out."
