Brentford defender Matthew Heywood looks unlikely to feature for the club again this season.
The centre-back injured a rib during the 1-0 defeat at Chesterfield on 23rd February and has been unable to feature for the first-team since.
The Bees have lost all four of their games since the defender picked up the knock and manager Andy Scott admits that they are unlikely to be able to call on his services again any time soon.
"I think Matty's going to be out for longer than we anticipated," he said.
"He could be out for the season.
"He is seeing the consultant again on Friday but there is a possibility it may have punctured his lung, which would definitely rule him out for the rest of the season.
"We have really missed his leadership."
