The 38-year-old has been on loan with The Chairboys after failing to make an impact with League One side Brentford.
The former Leicester City, Wolves, Portsmouth and Millwall striker ended his time with The Bees on Thursday after less than two months with Martin Allen's side.
He joined the South West London outfit following a brief spell at Championship club Brighton & Hove Albion in mid-December.
Claridge is expected to make his loan move at The Causeway Stadium permanent in the near future.
"Unfortunately, this transfer never worked out as I planned, but I have no regrets," Allen told Brentford's official website.
The news comes as The Bees have signed former Crewe Alexandra goalkeeper Ademole Bankole as a player-coach until the season's end.
The 35-year-old will act as cover to number one Stuart Nelson and becomes Brentford's new goalkeeping coach, with Allen having been forced to part ways with predecessor Phil Whitehead for financial reasons.
Following his release from Crewe at the end of last season, Bankole spent time in non-league with played for Lewes, Windsor & Eton and Maidenhead United this term.
One goalkeeper heading out the Griffin Park exit door is youngster Alan Julian.
The 21-year-old had his Bees contract cancelled by mutual consent before the Northern Ireland Under-21 custodian moved to Conference club Stevenage Borough.
