League One outfit Brentford have admitted they would not stand in the way of Jay Tabb if they received an offer they could not refuse.

The 22-year-old midfielder has begun the new campaign in imperious fashion and his performances have not gone unnoticed in higher divisions.

Brentford boss Martin Allen would be loathe to lose one of his key performers but club director, John McGashan, concedes that every player has his price.

''At the moment we are under no pressure to sell our players, although we would not want to stand in the way of any player who wants to move up a level,'' McGashan told the club's official website.

''We would hope that an offer from a bigger club would be too good to refuse.''
