Rotherham manager Steve Evans said he would wear a sombrero and beach wear in their game against Leeds on Saturday if they managed to avoid relegation

Rotherham manager Steve Evans says he will wear some fairly unusual attire on the touchline at Leeds on Saturday …. if Sky Sports News HQ viewers demand it!

Ahead of Tuesday night’s game with Reading, Evans said he would don flip-flops, shorts, a sombrero and sunglasses if Rotherham got the win they needed to ensure Championship survival.

The Millers duly secured a 2-1 victory and will be back in the Championship next season, despite having been  handed a three-point deduction for fielding an ineligible player in a win over Brighton.

They can now relax at Elland Road on Saturday and Evans may be getting into his holiday gear a few days early.

Asked by Rob Wotton on Sky Sports News HQ if he would be sticking to his word, Evans said: “If you get enough tweets to the studio from fans around the country, demanding that they can have a laugh seeing me in shorts, t-shirt, sombrero, flip flops, I will be there with them on Saturday at Leeds, I promise you that.

“But it has to be a response from you guys that leaves me with no option.

“And don’t forget sunglasses, I have got a very special pair of them as well!”

So, it's up to you: tweet @SkySportsNewsHQ (#SombreroForSteve) if you want to see a Championship manager dressed for the beach on Saturday lunch-time at Leeds.
