Rotherham and Derby have agreed an early termination of striker Connor Sammon's loan spell with the Millers.

The 28-year-old was due to stay in South Yorkshire until the end of the season having joined them in Janaury, but returns to the iPro Stadium after falling out of the picture at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

He made 15 appearances, scoring three goals, but has not featured in the matchday squad in any of the last three games for the Millers, as boss Steve Evans juggled his loanees around.

Sammon, who also spent time on loan at Ipswich this season, will be available for Derby's final three games of the season and their potential play-off campaign, though has not featured for the Rams since last season's play-off semi-final with Brighton.
