Leicester City have signed forwards Tom Lawrence and Nick Powell from Manchester United.

The Foxes just beat the transfer deadline to add the duo and Lawrence has signed a four-year deal while his fellow 20-year-old Powell has joined on loan until the end of the season.

Lawrence, who was born in Wrexham, made only one appearance for United when starting the final Premier League game of last season – the 3-1 home win over Hull City.

He had previously had loan spells with Carlisle and Yeovil last term, making a total of 30 appearances and scoring five goals.

The latest on Leicester City's Deadline Day deals, including a deal for Manchester United's Tom Lawrence.

After signing for Leicester he told Sky Sports News HQ: “It’s all sorted so I can’t wait to get going now.

“I have been at Manchester United for a long time now, and I can’t wait to get some game time.”

As for Powell, Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett said just after 1am: "Nick Powell left the training ground here about half an hour ago, still not knowing if he was a Leicester player for the rest of the season.

"The deal has now been ratified and Leicester have signed a second Manchester United attacking midfielder."
