Belief is key for Frecklington

Rotherham midfielder Lee Frecklington feels his side's knack of nicking late goals comes down to a belief that they can always score.

Frecklington has been at the forefront of the Millers' incredible record of notching in the latter stages to change the outcome of matches this season, where they have scored 10 goals in the final 15 minutes of games to turn defeats into draws and stalemates into wins. The majority of those have come since the turn of the year, with Steve Evans' men scoring after the 88-minute mark in six of their last 10 games. So when Nicky Adams' 89th-minute strike earned a point in the 1-1 draw with Walsall on Saturday to extend the Millers' unbeaten run to 12 games no one was surprised, least of all Frecklington. "We have proved in recent weeks that we keep going to the end and we love a late goal," Frecklington, who has netted 12 times this season, said. "We need to learn how to hold leads better, that's one of our faults for the season. "But we know we will always get a chance, we are the type of team that keeps going until the end. We have always got to believe that we will get a chance and we normally take it. "Scoring so many late goals gives us belief and confidence that the game is never over, we keep going until the end and as long as there are minutes to play we will. "We did it on the first game of the season so it's been happening all year, as long as there is time in the game we will try and score and that's why it keeps happening."
