Evans targets new signing

Rotherham manager Steve Evans is hoping to add a new player to his squad this week.

The Millers have made an impressive start following promotion in May and remain in sixth place in League One despite Saturday's heavy home defeat to Swindon. Evans, who drafted in eight summer signings, was without three key players at the weekend, with David Worrall (groin), Claude Davis (hamstring) and Kari Arnason (international duty) unavailable. When asked about the possibility of more new recruits, Evans said: "We are in in talks with a club now and it progressing, that is all I can say. "Our squad is strong and full of good players, one really poor 45 minutes does not make us a bad unit. "(On Saturday) we lacked the key ingredients to have a chance in any football match, desire, passion, tenacity and a vast number players who got worse as the match went on. "That is a performance that these players will not be pleased about and believe me everyone is hurting."
