Addison: I'll fight for my place

Miles Addison says regaining his place in the Bournemouth side next season will be the biggest challenge of his career.

The 24-year-old centre-back is on target to rejoin Eddie Howe's squad for pre-season having missed the final five months of the season with a fractured right foot and torn tendon. In his absence, Howe's men clinched promotion to the second tier and Addison is relishing the chance of breaking back into the side. "I'm hopefully going to be on schedule to be fit for the start of pre-season and I would say I have got the biggest challenge of my career trying to get back in this team," he told the Bournemouth Echo. "For me, it is going to be brilliant being back in the Championship. It was our aim at the start of the season and we have achieved it. "Some of the boys haven't played there and I think they deserve their chance. I am 100 per cent convinced they will flourish in the second tier of the English league. "We didn't concede many goals in the last few games of the season and there was a lot of grit and determination. If we keep adding that to our game, we will be fine in the Championship."
