Rotherham manager Steve Evans has revealed he is in no rush to sort out a new contract.
The 50-year-old is 12 months into a three-year deal at New York Stadium and was offered a new contract by chairman Tony Stewart earlier this year. Stewart reiterated his intention to give Evans a new contract if he guided the Millers to promotion on Saturday when they need only a point against Aldershot to secure a return to League One after a seven-year absence. But Evans is only concentrating on the Saturday's task in hand. "It's only a few months ago that I was offered a new contract and that was when we couldn't win for toffee," Evans said. "When I joined, me and the chairman had an agreement that it was a long-term thing, it wasn't promotion or Steve Evans leaves. "That was key to me coming here and key to the chairman. "There will be no issues about me wanting to be here or Tony Stewart wanting me to be here, but we both understand we have got things to sort on Saturday."
