Evans: We toughed it out

Steve Evans labelled victory over Fleetwood Town as Rotherham's hardest fought of the season.

Leading marksman Daniel Nardiello set Rotherham on the road to victory with a goal inside three minutes - his 20th of the season - but David Bell equalised two minutes later. But the winner came after 62 minutes. Ben Pringle's shot was blocked on the line, but the ball bounced to Kieran Agard and he grabbed the chance from close range. Evans believes his promotion chasers are hitting form at the right time. "We know what we have to do - win our last three games," he said. "That makes Tuesday's visit to Bradford a massive game. We can't affect what Port Vale and Cheltenham and the others do, but Tuesday's game has everything and Bradford have some unbelievable players, and I said early in the season they were a title threat. "We know if we win on Tuesday we go third and two or three of the results today have gone for us. "In terms of everything we are playing our best football of the season and in the last couple of games the players have shown they have got some steel and some fight. "We now have two away games, but our only focus at the moment is Bradford but that has been a battle against a good team with a good manager."
