Rotherham United manager Steve Evans is delighted striker Alex Revell has opted to stay at the club.
The 29-year-old was subject to a bid from an unnamed League One club but, despite the offer being accepted, Revell decided to remain with the Millers.
"We had a firm offer from a club in League One put in writing," Evans said. "I have always worked in the same way at every club I have been at that when interest comes in for a player I share it with them.
"I got Revs in and had a long chat with him and he said he played last year thinking about scoring goals at the new stadium.
"When he came in and told me he wanted to stay I shook his hand and hugged him and I'm delighted he is with us.
"I am genuinely pleased because there are not many strikers of his size and stature going about that we could go and get."
