Ward sees plenty of positives

Colchester boss John Ward was full of praise for his side after they lost to Premier League newcomers West Ham 2-1.

Anthony Wordsworth netted a consolation for the U's after Nicky Maynard and Mark Noble, from the penalty spot, had put the visitors ahead. An upbeat Ward told the club's official website: "We are moving the ball pretty well. I look and think there are decent things there that I can go to work with." Ward was pleased with how the day unfolded, adding: "The whole day has been fantastic. It has gone as I hoped it would."
