Aberdeen midfielder Kari Arnason has called on the club to offer him a new deal that is too good to turn down. Arnason has established himself as a key player in Craig Brown's side since arriving from Plymouth last summer. The Iceland international rejected a new contract back in January and Brown confirmed he would be planning for next season without Arnason. However, Arnason remains hopeful a deal can be agreed to keep him at Pittodrie. "I've said all along I want to stay at the club. It's just a matter of reaching a conclusion in the negotiations," said Arnason. "I want to stay but on the other hand I am turning 30 this year and I'd wish to get a decent contract, because it's probably going to be my last chance of a good contract. "I've always been open for them to come back to me. It's their decision at the end of the day, I can't force their hand. "The clubs at the moment have all the power. You can only be at the opposite side of the table and negotiate when they want to negotiate. If they don't, there's nothing I can do. "The deal they made me was very good at Aberdeen level, but that doesn't mean to say that's a very good contract, if you compare it to down south. It was kind of a let down because I want to stay."
