Rotherham could go back in for a striker they just missed out on signing before the transfer window shut.

The Millers made enquiries about two fron men to bolster their numbers but were unsuccessful, with one of the reported targets Karl Hawley opting to join Crawley.

But manager Andy Scott may look to resurrect the deal for the other target when the loan window reopens next week.

"The other one may come up again," he said. "Our priority was to try and get someone in but that didn't quite happen for us.

"Ideally we want someone who can play with Revs (Alex Revell) and Grabs (Lewis Grabban) either individually or as a group. We need something a little bit different and a goalscorer.

"If we had a little poacher or a fox in the box it would give us more scope for winning games."
