Peterborough boss praises striker for impact at London Road

Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson is not concerned by the delay in striker Paul Taylor signing a new contract. Taylor has 18 months remaining on his present deal at London Road, but has been offered an extension by the Championship club. He has impressed for Peterborough this season and has been linked with a move to the Premier League, although director of football Barry Fry recently revealed there have been no offers. Ferguson acknowledged there has been no recent progress in the contract talks, but it is not a situation that is causing him any sleepless nights. "I'm not aware of any progress on that front, but I'm not panicking about it and don't think there will be any problems," said Ferguson in the Peterborough Evening Telegraph. "Paul has taken the opportunity and help given to him here. "He is a real player who was unplayable against Coventry City on Saturday."
