Peterborough striker is in "no rush" to talk about his offer

Peterborough striker Paul Taylor insists he is focusing on playing football rather than talking about a new contract. The club have offered the 24-year-old new terms to keep him at London Road for another four years. He initially joined on an 18-month contract in March after spending a period of time in Belgium. The former Vauxhall Motors forward has impressed for Darren Ferguson's side this season and has scored four goals in his 11 Championship appearances.

No rush

Taylor told Peterborough Today: "As far as the new contract goes, I'm in no rush to talk about it. I have some way to go on my existing deal and a new one is just not on my mind right now. "I'm just concentrating on enjoying my football and helping the team. "I feel I've done okay in the Championship so far. My goals record is not bad and I'm confident that if I get a run in the team I can score some more. "It's been a great experience so far for me. I've enjoyed the games I've been involved in. Playing at stadiums like Upton Park has been amazing and I'm really looking forward to the games we have coming up. "The Championship is a strong league and it's great to be part of it."
